Police say somebody stole 184 season pool passes, along with cases of candy and ice cream, from the Highlands Aquatic Center between 4:30 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday.
The season pool passes are valued at $80 apiece.
According to Sgt. Steve Wiese, police found no visible signs of forced entry into the pool and do not know how the person got in.
Employees found the front gate to the men’s restroom and an office door near the men’s restroom open when they arrived Thursday morning, but did not report the theft to police until 12:45 p.m. because they did not realize the passes had been stolen, Wiese said.
Municipal pools opened for the season Tuesday.
