A 40-year-old Texas man was arrested Saturday after he fled on foot from a traffic stop and led police on a chase that ended when he was bitten by a K-9 unit and Tased, according to Lincoln police.
Steven Green, of Houston, was pulled over by a Lancaster County Sheriff's deputy on Interstate 80 near mile marker 391 at about 10:20 a.m. Saturday, according to sheriff's office records.
Green then fought with the sheriff's deputy and fled on foot, and several law enforcement officers were called to the area to assist, including one Lincoln police officer, Lincoln police Capt. Robert Farber said.
They chased Green for more than a mile, and one officer was taken to the hospital and later release after being treated for an ankle injury that was suffered during the chase.
Green was booked in the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of resisting arrest and possession of drug money.
