Lincoln Police

The Lincoln Police Department is investigating a Saturday evening robbery in north Lincoln.

Officers responded to the area of Northwest 12th Street and West Cornhusker Highway just after 8 p.m. A 19-year-old told officers he was walking under the Interstate 80 bridge along Cornhusker Highway when he was approached by an unknown man, who showed him a knife and demanded money, according to a police department news release.

After the victim gave the suspect money from his pocket, the suspect punched him in the face and stomach before fleeing south on foot.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to call police or Lincoln Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
