Two men were arrested after police say they found 114 grams of methamphetamine in their SUV.

Police were investigating Christopher Arneson, 42, after receiving information that he had meth inside a motel room on the 6500 block of North 28th Street.

On Friday, Arneson and Charles Stuart, 33, were seen leaving the motel. Investigators made contact with them and saw that Arneson had a blue glass pipe in his vest pocket along with 1.7 grams of meth. Officers found 1.1 grams of meth on Stuart, a probable cause affidavit for their arrests say.

During a search of the 2010 Ford Explorer the men were driving, officers found 114.4 grams of meth that was packaged in separate baggies inside a black duffel bag. They also found glass pipes, a digital scale and several baggies, documents say.

A search warrant was executed and an additional 1.3 grams of meth was found inside the motel room, documents say.

Officers estimated 578 user level amounts of meth was found. The average user amount is .2 grams of meth, police said.

Arneson was arrested on suspicion of possession of meth with the intent to deliver and possession of money while violating a state statute. Stuart was arrested on suspicion of possession of meth and possession of Carisoprodol.
