A 30-year-old man was killed in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 75 near Offutt Air Force Base early Sunday morning, according to a news release from the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office.

According to the release, Matthew Sharon of Nebraska City was driving south in a Dodge Journey on U.S. 75 near Fairview Road when the vehicle went off road into the center median and rolled, ejecting Sharon onto the road.

Sharon was then hit by a GMC Sierra driven by 38-year-old Justin Kirk of Plattsmouth, who was also heading south.

Sharon was transported to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where he later died. Kirk wasn't injured in the accident.

The crash is still under investigation by the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office and the South Metro Crash Response Team.
