A Nebraska man who was injured in a March 12 collision in Jefferson County died the next day, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

Just after 1 p.m. on March 12, 33-year-old Clayton Brandt of Fremont was driving south on Nebraska 15 near the Jefferson and Saline county line when his 2007 Pontiac SUV collided with a northbound semi. Heavy fog was cited as a potential cause of the crash, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

Brandt was transported to Bryan West Campus in Lincoln, where he died from his injuries the next day. The driver of the semi, 33-year-old Adam Gordan of Juniata, was transported to Jefferson Community Health and Life for minor injuries and was released that afternoon.
