Highway 34 accident

Lincoln Fire & Rescue crews and Lincoln Police officers investigate a single-vehicle accident in north Lincoln on Saturday night.

A 37-year-old Lincoln man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in north Lincoln on Saturday evening.

Rescue crews were called just before 7 p.m. to West Fletcher Avenue and Northwest First Street after an SUV heading north on First Street went off the road into a ditch and collided with a tree, according to Lincoln Police Sergeant Brian Golden.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue transported Andrew O'Brien to Bryan West Campus, where he was pronounced dead.

O'Brien was alone in the vehicle and was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the accident report.
