One person was killed and two injured in a northwest Lincoln crash, police said.

The crash occurred around 2 a.m. Friday near the Kawasaki plant, Capt. Ben Kopsa said.

A westbound Jeep Grand Cherokee crossed over the curbed median into the eastbound lane of West Fletcher between Northwest 13th and Northwest 20th and rolled, he said.

The 31-year-old driver, later identified as Stephen Hundley of Falls City, was thrown and pinned under the SUV, according to the accident report.

He died at the scene.

Police said two other passengers, 35-year-old Chad Jeffords and 41-year-old Robert Weaselhead, both of Lincoln, were injured, police said.

Jeffords was ejected and taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Officer Angela Sands said police are looking into whether alcohol was involved.
