Body found, 7.3.19

Police staged on Cornhusker Highway near the Interstate 180 interchange following a report of a dead body found in the area on Wednesday morning.

The man found dead in a ditch at Cornhusker Highway and Interstate 180 on July 3 has been identified as 48-year-old Mervin Graber Jr. of Wood River, Lincoln police said.

There were no signs of foul play; investigators are waiting for toxicology test results to determine the cause of Graber's death, police said Monday.

A state worker mowing the ditches on the southwest side of the interchange had called 911 after seeing the body along a fence line, Officer Angela Sands said.
