A 34-year-old Lincoln man died Friday after being caught in the auger of a grain truck.

Joaquin Danilo Mina Munoz was found dead when Lancaster County Sheriff's deputies responded to calls to 15001 Mill Road, Waverly.

Sheriff Terry Wagner said the initial report, made about 4 p.m., was that a person had been sucked into grain while working with a running auger. The incident took place at Bevans Enterprises Inc. turkey farm.

Munoz was cleaning the auger on an empty grain transport truck used to feed turkeys when his clothing got tangled on the auger blade shaft.

He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, the sheriff's office said, and an autopsy has been scheduled.
