Police arrested a 20-year-old man Saturday in connection with a January robbery.
On Jan. 29, officers were sent to 17th and Prospect streets after a man reported he was walking home when two men he knew from the F Street Rec Center beat and robbed him. They took $20, his cellphone and earbuds, then ran, according to court documents.
One of the men, Kon Mapieu, 28, was arrested the next day on suspicion of robbery.
Police found and arrested Riel Mapieu on suspicion of robbery Saturday outside his apartment in the 600 block of South 19th Street.
He was also cited with obstructing a peace officer and resisting arrest after trying to run away from officers, documents say.
