A 30-year-old Lincoln man led authorities on a high-speed chase through the southeast part of the city early Wednesday morning, a Nebraska State Patrol spokesman said.

Around 3:30 a.m., a trooper saw a Chevy Silverado hitting the curb and failing to stay in its lane near 70th Street and Old Cheney Road and tried to stop it, but the truck sped off into a neighborhood near 70th Street and Glynoaks Drive, Cody Thomas said in a news release.

The truck ultimately headed south on 84th Street at speeds over 90 mph, Thomas added.

The trooper stopped pursuing because of public safety concerns, and a short time later, Lincoln police officers found the truck and arrested the driver, identified as Dustin Miller, at 91st Street and Pine Lake Road, he said.

Miller was taken to jail and prosecutors charged him with three felonies: fourth-offense DUI, driving on a revoked license from a DUI or refusal to submit to a test -- subsequent offense and operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest.
