A Lincoln man who stole a can of Pabst Blue Ribbon from a woman sitting on her porch was sentenced to jail for it Thursday.
Originally facing a terroristic threats charge, Nehemiah Winters, 35, pleaded no contest to disturbing the peace at his court hearing last week.
County Judge Timothy Phillips gave him 30 days in jail and a $250 fine.
Because of the time he already had served, he was released later that day.
Lincoln police said that a little after 11 p.m. April 27, Winters accosted a 21-year-old woman, Jessica Robertson, having a beer with friends on her patio.
She told police she refused when he walked up twice and asked for her beer. When he returned a third time, he lifted his shirt to reveal something in his waistband with a black and silver handle.

The woman thought it was a knife and gave him the beer, she said.
Soon after, police arrested Winters nearby with a partial can of beer and what turned out to be a fork.
A sales manager at Pabst Brewing Company later took Robertson 60 Blue Ribbons.
