A 49-year-old Lincoln man has been accused of sexually assaulting a girl over the course of several years, according to court documents.

Prosecutors have charged Juan G. Martinez, 206 Blue Flame Road, with first-degree sexual assault of a child and first-degree sexual assault of a minor.

Now an adult, the woman told Lincoln police in September that Martinez abused her multiple times over the course of several years in her childhood, according to an affidavit for Martinez's arrest.

The girl, who knows Martinez, said the abuse finally ended when she was a teenager.

Martinez denied the allegations in an interview with police Tuesday.

Officers arrested him and took him to Lancaster County jail.

A judge set his bond at $250,000 and ordered him not to contact his accuser or anyone younger than 18.

He remained in jail Friday.
