A University of Nebraska-Lincoln and East High School graduate has died in a single-vehicle crash in Austin, Texas.
Matt Lutomski, 24, of Austin, died Nov. 29 when he lost control of his car and crashed into a metal pole shortly before 8 p.m., according to the Austin Police Department. He died at the scene.
Lutomski was a systems engineer at National Instruments, where he had worked since 2016.
He graduated from UNL, where he was a Regents Scholar, with a degree in mechanical engineering. He was also an Eagle Scout and member of Delta Upsilon fraternity and Mortar Board.
A memorial and celebration of life is planned 11 a.m. Saturday in Lincoln.
