Eric Bigler, the owner of a Lincoln car dealership, has been identified as the victim of an April 17 fatal crash on U.S. 75 south of Nebraska City in Otoe County.

Bigler, 47, ran Bigler Motors near 27th Street and Interstate 80.

Chief Deputy Otoe County Sheriff Mike Holland said a pickup Bigler was driving crossed the center line and collided head-on with a semi 2 miles north of Julian at about 11:45 p.m. Firefighters extinguished flames consuming the semi and Bigler's pickup, and put out grass fires on both sides of the highway.

Bigler died at the scene. The semi driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Bigler is survived by his wife, Lori, sons Treyson, Chase and Jake, his parents, siblings and numerous nieces and nephews, according to his obituary.

A memorial service will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Lincoln Berean Church, 6400 S. 70th St.

Memorials may be sent to the Bigler Children's Education fund in care of Union Bank & Trust.
