I've Got a Name, a Lincoln nonprofit anti-sex trafficking organization, has hired Paul Yates as its executive director.

Yates has worked with the nonprofit since April 2016.

“We have made a positive impact on hundreds of girls in the Lincoln area through our Street Outreach Director,” founder Bob Burton said in a news release.

Yates brings extensive experience to the position, including eight years fighting sex trafficking in Southeast Asia, the release said.

“It’s time we understand it’s not just overseas, it exists here in our communities throughout Nebraska,” he said. “We need to protect those who are vulnerable and provide hope and life change to those affected.”

Yates has worked with the Lincoln Area Agency on Aging, as director of development for the Seniors Foundation, director of marketing and sales for Legacy Retirement Communities and president of Pickering Creative Group in Lincoln, the release said.
