State Patrol troopers, Lancaster County deputies and Lincoln police arrested five juveniles after a pursuit involving a reported stolen car Wednesday afternoon.
Lincoln police informed the patrol of a suspected stolen 2018 Nissan Sentra traveling eastbound on Interstate 80. A trooper tried to stop the vehicle, but the driver refused and a pursuit ensued.
The Sentra exited the interstate at mile marker 420 and headed toward Greenwood before turning onto U.S. 6. The patrol said speeds reached 107 miles per hour.
Lancaster County sheriff's deputies deployed spike strips and stopped the vehicle near Waverly. The five occupants fled on foot but were taken into custody.
The driver, a 15-year-old boy, was cited for felony flight to avoid arrest and willful reckless driving. He was lodged at the Youth Services Center. The other four juveniles were released to their parents. The Lincoln Police Department is continuing an investigation into the stolen vehicle.
