A 62-year-old Hebron man was killed Tuesday after his farm truck collided with a semi south of Hebron, Thayer County Sheriff David Lee said.

James Summers was crossing U.S. 81 in the farm truck about 6 p.m. when a semi driven by Kenneth White, 36, of Eustis hit the side of Summers’ truck, Lee said in a news release.

The drivers of both vehicles were taken to Thayer County Health Services in Hebron before an emergency helicopter flew Summers to Bryan West Campus. He died of his injuries, Lee said.

There were no other passengers in either vehicle.
