A 28-year-old man faces child sexual assault and child pornography charges after Lincoln police say Facebook detected a suspicious video between the man and a 15-year-old girl.

Dovon C. Pugh's arrest last week came after the social media network alerted the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in October of a video apparently showing a minor girl having sex, a Lincoln police investigator said in an affidavit.

The girl told investigators she had sex with a man who she knew by a different name on Facebook, and then he sent her a video of it, the affidavit said.

Police tracked that account to Pugh's residence.

While reviewing his Facebook conversations, investigators learned the girl told Pugh she was 15, the affidavit said.

They also found that he had other sexually explicit videos of the girl, police said.

On March 20, police arrested him.

Pugh was charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child and possession of child pornography, and a judge ordered him not to contact the girl or anyone younger than 18.

Pugh remained in jail Monday on $500,000 bond.
