Lincoln police are seeking information about a series of burglaries Tuesday night in the Belmont neighborhood.

The victim of one burglary in the 3400 block of Portia Street said a brick was thrown through the window, Lincoln police said in a news release. Several items were taken from the bedroom.

Officers located five other residences nearby with property damage; some had been entered by the burglar or burglars, Capt. Jake Dilsaver said. In one case, police said the burglar searched a bedroom while the residents were home but unaware.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Lincoln police or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
