A fire consumed the master bedroom of a condo in east Lincoln on Sunday morning while the owners weren't home.

Lincoln Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Dave Engler said crews responded just after 10:20 a.m. to a report of smoke pouring out of a back window of the residence near South Street and Devonshire Drive.

Crews were able to contain the fire in about 15 minutes to the room it began and neighbors were evacuated from the building safely, according to Engler.

Fire investigator Jason Relford ruled it an electrical fire and said it caused between $30,000 and $50,000 in damages. Engler said other areas of the home would have smoke damage.
