The City Urban Development Department invites the public to complete a short online survey about their experiences buying, renting or financing a home in Lancaster and Seward counties.
The survey is available at lincoln.ne.gov, (keyword: AFH) through July 31. The survey will assist the city and Lincoln Housing Authority in addressing fair housing issues in the community and help the groups meet requirements for grant funding.
The survey is an opportunity for the public to anonymously provide feedback on housing discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability or family status. The survey will also ask about the availability of neighborhood services such as grocery stores, parks and libraries.
Those who feel they have experienced housing discrimination should contact the Lincoln Commission on Human Rights at 402-441-7624 to file a complaint. More information is available at human.lincoln.ne.gov.
