Police ticketed a man on suspicion of disturbing the peace after they say he showed a gun to another driver in a confrontation in northwest Lincoln on Friday.

At 4 p.m., a semitrailer was turning into a parking lot at 100 N. First St. when a silver pickup pulled in front of it, Officer Angela Sands said.

The 58-year-old driver of the semi and the 41-year-old pickup driver got out and started arguing, Sands said.

The pickup driver, Javier Saloman, then got a 9 mm handgun from his truck and held it by his right leg, she said.

The semi driver backed off and called police.

Officers found Saloman in the area soon after and cited him on suspicion of disturbing the peace, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was later released.
