An Omaha man who was hit by a minivan as he crossed the street in Lincoln's Havelock neighborhood Friday remained in critical condition Tuesday night at a local hospital.
Jon D. Carlson suffered life-threatening injuries when he was hit shortly after 8 p.m. Friday, according to police.
The van, driven by James Goeden of Lincoln, hit Carlson as he crossed Havelock Avenue southbound near 62nd Street, a police report said.
Carlson, 60, entered the street after walking between two parked cars and was not in the crosswalk, Goeden told police.
He estimated he was traveling 25 mph when Carlson stepped out in front of his van, the report said.
Carlson was taken to Bryan West Campus, where he remained Tuesday for treatment in the Bryan Trauma Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.
No citations have been issued while police continue to investigate the crash, according to the report.
