The condition of a 16-year-old Lincoln girl found in a northwest Lincoln creek has improved, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
The girl is awake and no longer needs a ventilator, Officer Luke Bonkiewicz said.
She was extremely cold when she was found in a creek in Roper Park by two men walking nearby Saturday evening, police said.
Investigators do not suspect foul play, but they still don't know why she was there, Bonkiewicz said.
Police said she had been dressed for an unspecified event at Parkview Christian School, which conducted its graduation ceremony Saturday afternoon.
