Lincoln's Beauty Brands store will close along with two dozen other locations across the country.

The company, which combines salons and spas with retail sales of hair and skin products, announced Wednesday that it will close 25 stores in nine states, including the Lincoln location at 400 N. 48th St., as well as one in Papillion.

“This year has proven to be a tough year for our business despite our efforts to combat industry headwinds,” Caryn Lerner, CEO of Beauty Brands, said in a news release. “Necessary organizational changes are required heading into the new year.”

The company did not give exact dates for the closings, but emails sent to Lincoln customers have listed Jan. 19 as the last day for the store here.

The Lincoln Beauty Brands opened in April 2016.
