The Oct. 22 Scramble event at Hillcrest Country Club had been postponed from Oct. 1 because of rain, and fortunately the timing couldn’t have been better. While the day started a little cool, it warmed up nicely and turned into a wonderful sunny day with little wind for the Lincoln Senior Men's Golf League.

The event was changed to a Shamble, but that didn’t affect teams turning in low scores. The gold tees were used, refreshment carts were accessible all day, and the course was in excellent condition.

Pin prizes were awarded for longest putt on holes No. 9 and 18 with Harold Griffin and Gary Unrein, respectively, winning those. The LSMGL played its final Fall Fun Days of the year Oct. 24 at Pioneers and Oct. 31 at Holmes.
