The Lincoln YMCA invites the community to join in its Free Fitness Friday at all Y locations. Offered Oct. 12, Free Fitness Friday has something for all ages and fitness levels.
“This is the perfect opportunity to bring your friends and family to try out the many amenities that the Y has to offer,” said JP Lauterbach, COO of the Lincoln YMCA.
Group exercise class offerings include Yoga, Kickboxing, Boot Camp, Cycling, Water Aerobics, Zumba, Fit for Life, Strength Training, Core & More and a host of others. Free Fitness Friday participants are also welcome to utilize the branch indoor pools, wellness floors and gymnasium. All Lincoln locations feature an indoor pool with dedicated lap swim and recreational/open swim times.
“As the weather gets chillier outside, it’s a great time to try your workout indoors at the Y while the kids partake in our Child Watch activities,” added Lauterbach.
Child Watch is available for ages 6 weeks to 10 years for up to 2 hours per child while their parent/guardian utilizes the facility.
The YMCA is located in every quadrant of Lincoln and also offers a centralized downtown facility. In addition, all Free Fitness Friday attendees who become Y members that day will have their initiation fee waived — a $25 savings.
To attend, bring a valid photo ID to the front desk area. Minimum age is 19-plus unless accompanied by an adult (19-plus).
