Staff and board members, donors and funders, elected officials, nonprofit agency representatives and collaborative partners, along with Lincoln Chamber of Commerce ambassadors, attend a ribbon-cutting event Nov. 8 to announce a rebranding and name change of the Child Guidance Center to HopeSpoke.

An early snow didn’t faze the 70 or so individuals who gathered at Child Guidance Center at 25th and O streets for the public reveal celebration of the much-anticipated rebrand.

“It’s official – HopeSpoke is the new Child Guidance Center,” declared Executive Director Katie McLeese Stephenson, MSW, during the public reveal festivities. She continued, “Our new tag line is Inspiring Children & Families to Move Forward.”

It was a morning of exciting news and congratulations emceed by John P. Neal, CGC board of directors president. Speakers included Mayor Chris Beutler; Nevaeh Murphy, East High student; McLeese Stephenson; and Eddie Brown, Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.

Attendees included board and staff members, donors and funders, elected officials, nonprofit agencies and collaborative partners, along with Chamber ambassadors who all helped with the ribbon-cutting event to showcase the new bright paint, new name and colorful logo and signage.

HopeSpoke will continue to provide hope to those it serves. The struggle IS real. Mental health issues and trauma are hard for anyone to overcome, especially if you’re a kid. When things feel hopeless, HopeSpoke helps families find confidence.

“HopeSpoke plays an invaluable role in providing children and families with the skills to feel empowered and be successful; helping them heal, be courageous and find strength to live well,” McLeese Stephenson said.

With a long history and positive presence, HopeSpoke continues to reach out with expert care to make our community a better place – full of happy, hopeful, healthy families.
