Child Guidance Center (CGC) will host a public launch of a new brand that will highlight its hope-filled services for children and families at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, at the CGC, 2444 O St.
The launch will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce to highlight new signage. Mayor Chris Beutler has been invited to speak along with John Neal, CGC board chair; Katie McLeese Stephenson, CGC executive director; and Eddie Brown from the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.
For almost 70 years, the CGC has played a big role in providing children, families and adults coping with mental health issues and trauma with the skills they need to heal and be successful.
Insights from leadership, staff and supporters revealed the need to update the current brand to better reflect the CGC's full range of services. Those include crisis and residential, extended day treatment, outpatient services and school-based programs.
The new name and branding were crafted to represent an organization that inspires children, families and adults to move forward – to heal, be courageous and find strength to live well.
