Aging Partners invites senior citizens and the public to celebrate the Community Health Endowment’s (CHE) 20th anniversary by participating in three free exercise classes Thursday, Nov. 8:

• Gentle Yoga from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Auld Recreation Center, 1650 Memorial Dr.;

• Tai Chi from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Auld Recreation Center;

• Qigong Refresh and Recharge from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at The Bridge Behavioral Health, 721 K St.

The Aging Partners co-sponsored events will feature guest instructor Suman Barkhas, Tai Chi/Yoga master and director of the Holistic Healing Institute in Eugene, Oregon. He has trained Tai Chi instructors for state public health departments in Colorado, Florida and Nebraska, and holds certifications in Tai Chi for Arthritis, Tai Chi for Diabetes and Qigong instruction.

The classes are free and open to all ages with no preregistration required. Participants may take one or all classes and are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat or blanket.

The event is a part of Health 20/20, a series of 20 community-based, health-related events that CHE is partnering with local organizations to produce in recognition of its 20 years of making Lincoln a healthy community. For more details on CHE, see; on Aging Partners, see
