Cotton-top tamarins

A pair of cotton-top tamarins, the smallest and rarest of primates, are among attractions at the Lincoln Children's Zoo. The zoo's final day for the season is Tuesday.

The following is a rundown of family activities for the week of Oct. 13-19:

Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch -- 1-7 p.m. Saturdays-Sundays through Nov. 5, Camp Fontanelle, 9677 Country Road 3, Fontanelle (off Highway 91). $5/ages 3-11, $7/ages 12 and older and ages 2 and younger are free. Additional charge for zipline and laser tag. Concessions available for purchase.

Trick-or-treat -- 1-3 p .m. Oct. 21, Hy-Vee, 1601 N. 84th St. Coloring, cookie decorating, min-pumpkin decorating and treats for all ages.

Fall Harvest Festival -- 1-4 p.m. Oct. 22, Copple Family YMCA, 8700 Yankee Woods Drive. Pumpkin picking ($5/per pumpkin), pumpkin decorating contest, pumpkin putt-putt, corn treasure hunt, pumpkin launch, carnival-style games. Free, open to public.

Lincoln Police Trunk or Treat -- police cruisers' trunks decorated, 6 p.m. Oct. 24, LPD University Place Substation, 4843 Huntington Ave. (garage). Wear costumes, bring bag for candy.

Halloween Health Fair -- 5:30-8 p.m. Oct. 25, Malone Community Center, 2032 U St. Door prizes, fun games, "Monster House" movie, costume contest for ages 16 and younger, dental and blood pressure screenings. Free.

Boo at the U -- 4-7 p.m. Oct. 27, Animal Science Barn, 39th and Fair Street (East Campus). Wear costumes, crafts, games, face painting, visit barn animals and trick-or-treating. $3/child at door.

Trunk or treat -- 3-5 p.m. Oct. 28, Holy Savior Lutheran Church, parking lot, 4701 N. 10th St.

Enchanted Forest Trunk or Treat -- 2-6 p.m. Oct. 29, Southern Heights Food Forest, 5750 S. 40th St. For ages 3-12. Wear costumes for trunk or treat, walk along trails, nature activities and more activities. $10/suggested donation per family.

Howling Homestead -- 6-9 p.m. Oct. 28, Homestead National Monument of America, near Beatrice. Raptor demonstrations, mad scientist, Native American star lore, view night skies with Prairie Astronomy Club, music, crafts and fun treats. Please do not wear costumes. Free.

Trunk or Treat -- 3-6 p.m. Oct. 29, Hope Community Church, 4700 S. Folsom. Decorated trunks, movie, bounce house, games. Free.
