The "Grinch" Jason Bingham greets drive-through guests along with Whos (from left) Olyvia Greening, Kendra Muhlbach and Tessa Paulsen Dec. 11 at Light the Night, a fundraiser for Christian Heritage, a nonprofit that serves more than 1,000 vulnerable children and families annually. The drive-through event drew 1,180 carloads of people at the public event Dec. 9-11, plus an additional 220 children and families impacted by foster care and incarceration at a special pre-event Dec. 4, according to Stacy Bingham, executive director of growth and stewardship. Light the Night displayed thousands of Christmas lights and included a Who-ville with the Grinch and Whos, Candy Cane Lane, Santa and Mrs. Claus, a nativity, Polar Express, snack shack and more. Guests consumed 660 Christmas cookies and 340 cups of cocoa at the snack shack. Learn more about the Christian Heritage mission at www.chne.org or call 402-421-5437.
