Gregory R. Snow, 65, of Lincoln passed away on May 4, 2019. Born April 6, 1954, to Ray and Dorothy (Brinkman) Snow in Kansas City, Mo. Full professor of physics since 1993 and former dean at UNL. He devoted his life to science and did his research at C.E.R.N., Fermilab, and Pierre Auger and creator of the C.R.O.P. project.
He is survived by his wife, Graciela Acedo and son, Everett Gutzmer; sisters, Valerie and Barbara. Preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday (5/9) at Roper and Sons Funeral Home, 4300 ‘O' St. Cremation, no visitation. Memorial contributions may be directed towards C.R.O.P. (a nationally-recognized education and outreach project through the University of Nebraska Lincoln Physics Dept.) or to the Pierre Auger Observatory (www.auger.org).
