Eric Garten of Lincoln died April 13, 2019, age 58. Rachel (Swetland) Garten of Lincoln died April 16, 2019, age 54. Eric and Rachel were married September 11, 2004.
Eric was born in Pasadena, California, to John and Anne Garten. He served three years in the USAF as a F4-G Wild Weasel crew chief. While in the USAF, he received a High-Speed Incentive Flight in the F4 and this probably led to his “need for speed” resulting in owning numerous motorsport cycles. Eric retired from the City of Lincoln Water System as a water service technician in 2017. Survived by his mother Anne and all of Rachel's clan.
