January 3, 1933 - April 17, 2019

Barbara (DeRock) Base, age 86, of Lincoln, passed away April 17, 2019. She was born January 3, 1933, in Long Beach, California, to William and Minnie (Hughes) Anderson. Barb graduated from Wymore High School, Wymore. She was a sales manager for Culligan water and the Carriage Shop. Barb enjoyed going to the family cabin in Wyoming, all holidays, gardening and spending time outdoors. She loved antiquing and going to auctions. Barb was a founding member of the women's bowling league at Parkway Lanes. Her team's name was the Gemini's. She played league pool at Madsen's, loved to travel, walked at Gateway Mall and had 13 Christmas trees in her home for the Christmas holiday.

She is survived by daughter Deb Rupe of Lincoln, sons and daughters-in-law Dana and Barbara DeRock of Palm Coast, Florida, Davis and Gayla DeRock of Augusta, Kansas, Darin DeRock of Lincoln, Daniel and Paulette DeRock of Lincoln; 26 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Daughter-in-law Jenny DeRock. Preceded in death by her husband Stephen Richard Base, former husband Bill DeRock, son Douglas DeRock, brother Art Anderson and sister Alma Kay Stachwick, daughter-in-law Judy DeRock.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, at Wyuka Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 19, at Wyuka Funeral Home. Burial at Wyuka Cemetery. Memorials to the People's City Mission. Online condolences may be left at www.wyuka.com
