Anne Baker, 82, died Monday, March 11, 2019. Born in Richmond, Indiana, to Emmett J. and Roberta J. (Brooks) Wright. Graduated from Centerville, Indiana, High School. Arts and crafts were one of her hobbies and she made the family Christmas card for over 50 years. Hand-painted eggs on the lawn at Easter were the hit of the neighborhood. Travel was always a joy. She has been in every state of the United States and in most of the Canadian provinces and territories. Foreign visitors, including three exchange students, were always welcome in the home.

Anne was most comfortable in the kitchen; sharing her love and affection through innumerable meals with good food and good friends. Working in food settings, including 15 years running concessions for teachers, students and athletic events at Lincoln High, was always a joy. She was known for the variety of salads she served to teachers during lunchtime. She loved babies and young children; helping many get a warm and caring start in life. Exploring connections between people was important. She saw all of us as a part of a broader community.
