Keith Williams was the final piece put in place at Nebraska.

He spent the past three seasons coaching wide receivers at Tulane, and in 2014 was the Green Wave’s recruiting coordinator.

Williams’ best work at Tulane came with Ryan Grant, who finished his career in the top five at the school in several receiving categories.

Williams came to Tulane after spending three seasons in the same position at Fresno State.

At Fresno State, Williams worked with a pro-style offense similar to what Mike Riley ran at Oregon State.

“My coaching style is I just want them to be technique-sound and as aggressive as possible in everything they do,” Williams said in a video feature produced by Tulane athletics.

Williams played at San Diego State from 1991-93. He signed with Washington’s NFL franchise, then played in the World League of American Football and for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.

His son, Keyan, plays at Fresno State.
