The Lincoln Children's Zoo recently honored three long-serving Z.O.&O. train engineers -- Jim Budka, Darrell Wheaton and Ronald Ozaki -- with 20-year recognition plaques.
"These gentlemen have cleaned the train, polished it, helped to repair it and, most importantly, engineered it no matter the season, weather or day of the week," said John Chapo, zoo president and CEO. "And they have always done it with the utmost graciousness and kindness for every one of the tens of thousands of riders they have served.
"The Lincoln Children's Zoo could not have such an awesome train experience if it weren't for this exceptional team of volunteers," Chapo added.
