Sept. 27 – CenterPointe Discovering the Future Gala
Sue Klebold, author of the New York Times bestseller “A Mother’s Reckoning: Living in the Aftermath of Tragedy,” will be the keynote speaker at the CenterPointe Discovering the Future Gala at the Cornhusker Marriott, 333 S. 13th St. This fundraising event supports CenterPointe’s treatment, rehabilitation, housing and crisis services. Sept. 27 – Party with the Playhouse

Sept. 27-30 – Huskers Helping the Homeless
Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach will team up with over 600 volunteers to accept donations on behalf of the working poor and homeless during the weekend of the Nebraska vs. Purdue football game at Memorial Stadium. Oct. 4 – 25th Annual Okto Beerfest
Enjoy local and national craft beers, barbecue, brats, live music, a live auction and more at the 25th annual Sertoma Okto Beerfest fundraiser, 5:30-9:30 p.m., at the Lancaster Event Center, 4100 N. 84th St. Food from local restaurants is included in the ticket price. Participants include Sportscasters, Leon's Grocery, Blue Blood Brewing and dozens more. This fifth annual fundraising event begins at 5:30 p.m. at the DelRay Ballroom, 817 R St. Guests are invited to enjoy ethnically influenced heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, silent and live auctions, live music and cultural performances.
