District Governor Thomas Cardwell presented the No. 1 Rotary Club award to Lincoln South Rotary Club President Kay Wunderlich at the Rotary District 5650 Conference held recently in Lincoln.

Lincoln South Rotary Club was named the No. 1 Club in the Rotary District 5650. The district includes 42 clubs in eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa, including three clubs in Lincoln and seven in Omaha.

District Governor 2017-18 Thomas Cardwell presented the award to Lincoln South Rotary Club President 2017-18 Kay Wunderlich at the Rotary District 5650 Conference held recently in Lincoln. The club earned the No. 1 spot for accumulating points in membership development, service projects, contributing to the Rotary Foundation, compliance with administrative duties and participating in district events.

The club was also recognized with an award for outstanding support of the Rotary International Tree Planting Initiative. The club participated by planting a tree for each member of the club and providing four trees for the latest home built through Habitat for Humanity.
