Bryan Home Run for Health event

Families enjoyed a beautiful evening at Haymarket Park for Bryan's annual Home Run for Health event. Kids took part in more than three-dozen interactive health and safety activities before watching the Lincoln Saltdogs defeat the Chicago Dogs in a close game at Hawks Field.

Bryan Health hit the road and slid into Haymarket Park June 22 for Home Run for Health.

The Bryan Kids’ Club Home Run for Health is an annual tradition. It involves organizations and businesses throughout the Lincoln community. On a beautiful summer evening, families took part in more than three-dozen interactive health and safety activities, a meet-and-greet with Lincoln Saltdogs players, drawing contest, bounce houses, photo booth and play areas.

It was the fourth year the event took place at Haymarket Park. Over 3,000 people took part, making it one of the most well-attended Home Run for Health gatherings ever.

During pre-game festivities, Bryan Kids’ Club member and winner of the Healthy Kids drawing contest, Natalia Uldrich, threw out the celebratory first pitch. The Lincoln resident fired a strike on her 11th birthday. Fans then saw the Lincoln Saltdogs defeat the Chicago Dogs in a nail biter, 5-4. The victory kicked off a weekend sweep that saw the home team win three straight games. The crowd was treated to a special fireworks show after the win.

The Bryan Health Kids’ Club helps children get excited about exercise, nutrition and safety through family activities and community events.
