Twenty-seven teams unraveled clues, found obscure locations and completed challenges to reach the finish line on a beautiful Aug. 26 morning for St. Monica’s 12th annual Amazing Chase FUNdraiser.

Teams found themselves tying complicated knots and eating beets at Piedmont Bistro, one of the generous corporate sponsors. Teams collected donations prior to the event to determine their start time. Production Creek won the Chase Race, and NEBCO was the top fundraising team, raising over $6,000.

Thanks to corporate sponsors, amazing teams, donors and volunteers, the event raised $80,000 to support St. Monica’s mission of helping women address substance use disorders, mental illness, trauma, homelessness and parenting.

Planning for the event began with a committee of volunteers who dreamed up the most unexpected challenges. The committee also enlisted the help of 126 volunteers.

“We love the Amazing Chase!” said Bub Windle of Mueller Robak LLC, corporate sponsor and chaser. “It's a great way to have fun with friends, see different parts of Lincoln, while benefiting St Monica's and the service it provides women and their families.”

Top prizes included donated stays at vacations homes in Deer Valley, Utah; Steamboat Springs, Colorado; and staycations from local hotels and restaurants.

St. Monica’s serves over 300 women and adolescent girls in both residential and outpatient treatment programs. To learn more about St. Monica’s and how to get involved with the Amazing Chase, contact Valerie at
