KLKN-TV missing from DirecTV lineup

KLKN-TV is gone from DirecTV as the satellite company and the TV station's parent company, Citadel Communications, continue to negotiate a new carriage agreement.

KLKN, Lincoln's ABC affiliate, pulled its signal at midnight Thursday, saying on its website that “we deeply regret it when some of our viewers are inconvenienced or otherwise caught in the middle of a business negotiation.”

The contract expired Sept. 30, but the two sides agreed to two extensions. However, no deal was reached, prompting KLKN's exit from the satellite service.

ABC programming is available on DirecTV from Kearney affiliate KHGI.

Meanwhile, Gray Television reached a new carriage agreement with DISH Network. That agreement applies to Lincoln CBS affiliate KOLN/KGIN-TV and Omaha NBC affiliate WOWT for viewers in those markets.
