Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra returns to O’Donnell Auditorium at Nebraska Wesleyan University for its family concert performance, "Beethoven Lives Upstairs," Sunday, Sept. 30, at 2 p.m.

Led by Music Director Edward Polochick, the program will be a collaboration with Chicago-based "Classical Kids Live!", telling the story of Christoph, played by Andrew Redlawsk, writing letters to his uncle, played by Jeff Kuhl, regarding the “madman” living above him -- Beethoven himself. Through a touching correspondence dramatically underscored by Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra, with more than 25 excerpts from the composer’s works, Christoph comes to understand the genius of Beethoven, the beauty of his music and the torment of his deafness.

Tickets: lincolnsymphony.com, 402-476-2211 or the LSO box office, 233 S. 13th St., Ste. 1702.
