Chase the Spirit of Dance just completed a busy 2018-19 season with a variety of dance activities in competitions and community benefits.

Chase the Spirit of Dance, under the direction of Stephanie Chase, just completed a busy 2018-19 season.

Chase dancers performed for benefits such as the Fall Into Dance event for the Food Bank of Lincoln and the Tree of Lights fundraiser for the People's City Mission. The season also included a holiday performance with Lincoln’s Symphony Orchestra at the Lied Center for Performing Arts.

Competitions garnered multiple platinum and judges’ awards. Competition troupes included a new clogging team this year called the Southside Cloggers.

Chase’s 26th annual Spring Dance Concert featured “Peter Pan,” starring award-winning senior Piper Monson.

Chase Dance also held an inaugural spring benefit at the Rococo Theatre for the Nebraska Strong effort to help flood victims, raising $3,175.

“All of this was accomplished through the dancers’ talents, including three Chase Dance alums: Con O’Shea Creal, who is now a Broadway leading man; Steffany Lien, the world’s top twirler; and Abigayle Reiber, a ballet major at the University of Oklahoma,” Chase said. “Bravo to my faculty and students!”
