March 9 – Run for the Bridges

This trail run raises funds to build and replace bridges in Wilderness Park, 9 a.m., starting at the First Street Trailhead south of First and Pioneers Boulevard across from City Church, which will provide parking. Includes half-marathon, 10K and 1.8-mile runs. To register, go to Register by March 1 to get a free T-shirt.

March 19-20 – Friends of Lied Table Inspirations

See 29 creatively decorated tables assembled by Nebraska interior designers and business owners at the Friends of Lied Table Inspirations fundraiser “California Dreamin’” at the Lied Center for Performing Arts, 12th and Q streets. Featured speaker Joey Lizotte, from Palm Springs, California, brings the love of art and floral design together in his Artisan Event Floral Décor business. His art and work have been featured in national publications. The event begins Tuesday, March 19, from 6-8 p.m. with a “Cocktails and Conversation” reception. Experience the beauty of the decorated tables while listening to acoustical duo Tom and Wes. Food will be provided by Traci Carlson with wine and beer pairings from Meier’s Corn ‘n Bottle. On Wednesday, March 20, from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m., tour the beautifully decorated tables created by Nebraska designers, and hear Lizotte’s tips and tricks during his lecture at 11:30 a.m. in the Lied Center Auditorium. March 28 – Feeding the Soul of the City

Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach’s 14th annual “Feeding the Soul of the City” dinner and fundraising event will be at the Cornhusker Marriott, 333 S. 13th St. Social hour and silent auction start at 5:30 p.m., and the gala dinner and program begin at 6:30 p.m. Compassion in Action awards will be presented to an individual and group who exemplify dedication to Matt Talbot’s mission. March 30 – Tabitha Miles for Meals Run

Join Tabitha and Lincoln Track Club to enjoy walking, running or cheering for others at Tabitha Miles for Meals at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo, 27th and A streets. April 6 – Spring Italian Festival Fashion Show

The eighth annual fashion show “Spring Italiano Festival” will take place at the Sesostris Shrine, 1050 Saltillo Road. This event is presented by Lincoln’s P.E.O. Chapter GV as a fundraiser to support women’s education through scholarships, grants and loans. Doors open at 10 view gift baskets. An Italian Fiesta luncheon begins at 11 a.m., followed by the style show featuring fashions from The Vickeridge women’s clothing boutique.
