Bess Dodson Walt Library hosted the second annual citywide Mah jongg Jamboree in May.
Mah jongg is a tile-based game of strategy developed in ancient China and is now played worldwide. You can find a game of Mah jongg being played across Lincoln in eateries, libraries and private homes.
The Mah jongg Jamboree was initiated by the group that plays the game at Walt Library on Thursday afternoons. This year’s Jamboree brought together 66 individuals from various Lincoln venues and players from surrounding communities including Omaha. The group enjoyed an afternoon of play and complimentary refreshments.
