• The sixth annual Sip Nebraska Festival returns to Eugene T. Mahoney State Park near Ashland. Sample over 120 types of wines, craft beers and distilled spirits from 26 Nebraska-based beverage vendors. Event includes local bands, 20-plus artisan and food vendors, blind tasting competitions, dancing lessons, educational sessions, lawn games, fire pits and trolley tours. June 1 deadline

• The County-City Building Exhibition Gallery, 555 S. 10th St., seeks two- and three-dimensional works of art created by Nebraska artists for its 2019-20 exhibition season. This venue will display four three-month exhibitions through the year. Each exhibition will include a First Friday opening reception. Artists receive 100 percent of their sales. Application deadline is June 1.
